The idea
A dedicated space for music lovers: you review albums, follow other people, react with emojis and showcase your favorite artists on your profile. The catalog of albums and artists comes from the Deezer API.
What I did
I handled everything on my own:
- the mobile app in Flutter;
- the API in Django REST: sign-up, login and session management;
- album reviews (rating, comment, visuals) and emoji reactions;
- the follow system;
- profile customization: picture, bio, favorite genres, featured artists;
- the Deezer integration to browse and search albums and artists.
Planned next: comments on reviews, notifications, advanced search and dark mode.
What I take from it
It’s my playground for owning everything end to end: a data model, an API, authentication, a third-party API and a mobile app. That’s exactly what you need to master to launch an MVP.
